Happy monthly anniversary, my love. A quiet time as we get used to the best time of year. It's cooling and getting darker but the bitterness of winter isn't here and lingering in our bones. It's a cozy sort of decay where the sun retreats and we breathe in the sweet decay of fallen leaves. It's hours of horror movies. It's the calm before the end of year holiday gauntlet. It's our favorite time and it's the time of our orange and black Halloween calico cat, Olive. It's the time when we can breathe the most free.
